Trézor.io Start Guide

Trezor Device Setup

Step 1: Device Setup

Unbox your Trézor device and connect it to your computer using the supplied USB cable. Make sure you only use the official cable for safety and reliability.

Go to the Trézor.io/start page to initialize your device with the latest firmware. This ensures that your hardware wallet is secure from the beginning.

Security Tips

Step 2: Security Measures

Create a strong PIN code directly on your device. Avoid using simple sequences like 1234 or repeated numbers.

Enable passphrase protection for an extra layer of security. This ensures that even if your device is stolen, your assets remain safe.

Backup Recovery

Step 3: Backup Recovery

Write down your 24-word recovery seed in the order displayed. Never take a digital photo of it, store it online, or share it with anyone.

Use the included recovery card or a secure metal backup plate to protect against fire or water damage. Your recovery seed is the key to restoring your wallet if your device is lost.

Device Usage

Step 4: Using Your Device

Once your wallet is set up, you can receive cryptocurrency by sharing your public address. Always verify addresses on the device screen before confirming transactions.

For sending funds, connect your device to the Trézor Suite or compatible apps. Your private keys never leave the device, keeping your assets safe.
